Yizkor service will begin around 11:40 AM after the Rabbi's sermon. The Rabbi requests that all congregants stay for Yizkor this year, even if you don't typically recite it for immediate family. Given the unprecedented loss our people have faced in the past 2 years—the greatest since the Holocaust—we share a collective duty to remember those we have lost.

These opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so please do not delay if you are interested. We are seeking individuals to open the ark, carry the Torah, or read in English.

It is customary to make a donation to the synagogue upon receiving an honor.

Corner of Our Fields – Food Collection for JCC Food Pantry

We are pleased to share that during the High Holiday season we will again conduct the “Corner of Our Fields” tzedakah initiative. We will collect canned and boxed food and personal hygiene items to donate to the Weinstein JCC Food Pantry, a longtime member of Feedmore. We have established a wonderful collaborative relationship with the JCC food pantry by donating to them the harvest from our Gan Chesed garden, all of which has been gratefully received.

Please think of those in need and drop off any of the items listed below at the collection boxes located in the synagogue foyer. Please check the expiration date of all items.   If purchasing canned goods, please buy ones with pull tab lids since those who are homeless may not have access to a can opener.

Together, we can make a difference in the greater Richmond community. For more information, contact Sue Geller at susanrgeller@gmail.com.
