Welcome to Congregation Or Atid’s guide to our Shabbat services and chanting Torah and Haftarah! If you are soon to become a B’nai Mitzvah, or are just interested in better learning the prayers of our service or how to chant Torah or Haftarah, then you have come to the right place.
For our Friday night and Saturday morning services, simply click the links for the service and prayers you are interested in learning, and listen and practice along with the sound files. Our services follow the pages in Siddur Ḥadash, as is explained in the recordings.
On our Torah and Haftarah trope pages, you will find a chart of all of the trope clauses, accompanied by a sound file of how that clause is chanted. Simply apply the sound of the trope mark and/or clause to the words of your Torah reading or Haftarah section as indicated in the text you are learning.
