Our Innovative Religious School

The Helen and Sam Kornblau Religious School educates students in the spiritual, ritual, and ethical foundations of the Jewish religion. Through a caring learning environment Or Atid students become passionate about Jewish heritage, history, and Israel.  Our children learn Jewish customs, the Hebrew language, holidays, and Mitzvah.  A variety of teaching methods engage the students, such as field trips, Jewish cooking, arts, music, nature, sports, and Israeli dancing.  Rabbi Hal teaches B'nai Mitzvah and high school students, providing in-depth discussion and hands-on learning.  Students return home with music from their lips, warmth in their hearts, and smiles on their faces.

At Congregation Or Atid learning starts with our toddlers and continues throughout our multi-generational congregation. Our Helen & Sam Kornblau Religious School has everything a student needs beginning in kindergarten and continuing through high school.

For the adults, we have our Spiritual Noshes where we learn about different aspects of Judaism in an informal setting with a pot-luck dinner. There are also intergenerational programs to bring the knowledge of our "mature" congregants to the new generation of Jewish learners.
